Robotlegs Framework Template
Robotlegs (from Robotlegs.org) isĀ a great architectural framework for AS3. It works for both Flash and Flex projects. I have been a fan since the beginnings of the framework and I even created the official “Robotlegs Framework Diagram“.
One of the drawbacks of using an architectural framework is the time required to setup the project. To help new developers, veteran developers, and myself, I create and update several templates for Robotlegs (RL). Each is a complete publishable “Hello World” type project. When I start any new RL project I begin with one of these Robotlegs Templates (RLT).
It kicks ass, enjoy!

It is a simple app. (Note images may vary slightly depending on template)

Mix-ins
I combine RL with some other fantastic technologies in some templates.
- AS3-Signals – Events replacement
- BabelFX – Language localization
- Union Platform – Multiplayer

I’m checking out the base RLT_Web_Flex project now. Runs fine with the included RL but throws a null error in the Actor class with the latest RL. Any chance of updating it for the current version? Thanks.
John. Thanks! I’m working on the Mutiplayer Template (its not yet done), first. If you fix the RLT_Web_Flex please send a pull request through GIT and I’ll pull your solution. Otherwise I’ll get to it in the future. Thanks so much!
Hi, I can not see any downloadable templates, I only see ‘Free Member’-Only Content’, but I am already signed in. What am I doing wrong?
I have no clue, just the same problem…
Have to pile on this… great consulting agency. Get some UX professionals so a guy like me, who has only a bachelor degree can understand how to download this template to save me half an hour of coding OR get a backend dude who is able to set a session cookie once a user logs in.
Retards.
Having same issue. Oh well…
Hey Buddy,
Where is the ‘RLT_AIR_FlexMobile_AS3Signals_BabelFX’, i subscribed, cannot download or view the tuto yet.
Again is that process required?.
@FlexOnBlogK
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll debug.
I logged out, created a new account, logged in and visited this page. I see the “RLT_AIR_FlexMobile_AS3Signals_BabelFX” link in the “Members Only Section” on this page and it works properly.
Do the source-code links on this page work for anyone else after logging in?
Hi, I am a free user , my username is awais I was unable to access the tutorials links, any suggestions?
